Latin America M&As Grew 114% Last Year

While Brazilian M&As jump 150% during the first half of the year.

Last year marked a clear recovery for announced mergers & acquisitions in Latin America, which grew by 114 percent in value, according to new data from Refinitiv.That compares with a 48 percent decline in 2020. However, last year’s performance was also impressive compared to the pre-COVID pandemic years. In 2019, M&As grew 17.1 percent, they fell 21.9 percent in 2018 and grew 8.2 percent in 2017.
