Law Firms Advise Latin America Deals

Baker McKenzie, Carey Olsen, Hughes Hubbard, Mayer Brown advise LatAm deals.

Baker McKenzie has advised Colombian state oil company Ecopetrol in signing an agreement with the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit in Colombia to acquire a majority stake in Colombian electricity distributor Interconexión Eléctrica (ISA) for $3.7 billion; Mayer Brown advised Mexican super premium mezcal brand Ojo de Tigre on its sale to France-based Pernod Ricard; Hughes Hubbard Reed advised Argentina-based, fintech Ualá in a $350 million round of funding and Carey Olsen's corporate team in the Cayman Islands advised Brazilian eCommerce platform Nuvemshop on a $500 million round of funding.
