Latin America Top 500 Companies: Pemex, Vale Lead Losses
Ambev, America Movil and Walmex most profitable companies in Latin America.

Mexico’s state oil producer Pemex and Brazilian iron ore producer Vale led losses on the latest Latinvex 500, the ranking of Latin America’s top 500 companies. The ranking uses data for 2015 from individual companies and Economatica. Although losses at Brazil’s beleaguered state oil producer Petrobras widened, it now ranks as the third-worst performer among Latin America’s largest companies.
On the other end: Brazilian brewer Ambev (a unit of Belgium-based AB InBev), Mexico-based telecommunications company America Movil and Mexican retailer Walmex (a unit of US-based Walmart), which posted the highest profits on the ranking.
