Latinvex 500: Latin America Profits Return

Oil, mining companies see strong growth in profits and revenues.

Boosted by higher oil prices and strong demand, state oil companies Petrobras from Brazil and Ecopetrol from Colombia saw profits jump last year, leading them to once again to rank among the top profit-makers on the Latinvex 500 list of companies in Latin America, which uses data from Economatica and individual companies.
