US Insurers Outperform Latin America Average

The winners and losers among Latin America’s top 100 insurers.

Ohio, Prudential and Pan American Life Insurance Group (Palig) are the fastest-growing major US insurers in Latin America, according to a Latinvex analysis of 2016 data from Latino Insurance.

Meanwhile, the top three US insurers in Latin America all suffered declines. In fact, among the 14 US insurers on the ranking of top 100 insurers, only half saw growth. Yet, thanks to their increases, US insurers overall outperformed the Latin American increase in premiums.
