Latin America Tourism: Arrivals, Receipts Grow


Dominican Republic passes Brazil as Latin America’s second tourism earner.

SANTO DOMINGO --- As Dominican capital Santo Domingo is undergoing a major renovation of its colonial zone, a Latinvex analysis of new data from the World Tourism Organization shows that the Caribbean nation is now Latin America’s second-largest tourism earner after Mexico.

Meanwhile, Colombia and Panama are among the top growth winners in terms of both arrivals and receipts.
