Mexico, Brazil Boost Haynes and Boone


Haynes and Boone remains upbeat on Brazil thanks to recent oil auctions.

Mexico and Brazil are driving Haynes and Boone business in Latin America, although the US law firm is also seeing growing business in Colombia, Argentina and Peru.

“Our business is driven heavily by Mexico,” says Larry Pascal, Chair of the Americas Practice Group and Co-Chair of the International Practice Group at Haynes and Boone.

However, he also emphasizes that Brazil is a key market for the firm in large part due to its growing energy sector.
“Brazil’s … energy sector … is more open than Mexico,” Pascal points out. “A lot of foreign oil companies are participating and can book their reserves.”
